Elders Funding Grant
ABOUT THE GRANT PROGRAM
The Elders Funding Grant is delivered by New Relationships Trust (NRT).
The NRT and the First Nation communities realize the importance of our elders. Accordingly, the NRT Board of Directors identified Elders as a strategic priority. The NRT has allocated $500,000 in 2022-2023 to assist First Nations in BC with Elders, Youth and Language Initiatives.
The purpose of this initiative is to contribute to enhancing the overall wellbeing of First Nations Elders and Youth groups in their ability to implement and deliver innovative projects or initiatives that strengthen their nationhood as they see fit.
The Elders Grant Initiative is available to all BC First Nation Elders groups at the community level. Priority will be given to Elder Groups. The maximum amount available is $5,000 per Elders group or First Nation/community/ organization.
