Ageism is defined as stereotyping, prejudice, and discrimination towards people on the basis of age. It may be conscious or unconscious, and can be
seen in social behaviours, institutional practices, media representations, and in physical spaces and places.

Information, tools, resources, and campaigns are featured to assist communities in considering how ageism manifests itself in society, workplaces,
health care settings, communities, and families, both directly and indirectly, and how ageism can be addressed. Programs and stories that celebrate
older adults are highlighted to counter prevailing attitudes, and “re-frame aging”.
