VCH/FHA NGO Heat & Smoke Preparation Webinar

Local non-governmental organizations which support vulnerable persons are invited to attend an upcoming webinar to learn more about the health effects of heat and smoke in the Lower Mainland region.

This session will include presentations by Fraser Health and Vancouver Coastal Health, with additional presenters from BC Housing and MOSAIC sharing learnings and promising practices.

There will be an opportunity for questions with the Medical Health Officer and Health Emergency Management BC. The Q&A portion of the webinar is an opportunity for FH and VCH to answer questions and to better understand how the health authorities can support non-governmental organizations during extreme heat events. Organizations will receive a Zoom link to join the webinar once they have registered.
