[Call for Submissions] Social Prescribing Conference: Canada's 1st International Social Prescribing Conference

September 26 to 27, 2024 at The Carlu in Toronto, Ontario for an in-person, international social prescribing conference! This conference will increase awareness, demonstrate and celebrate cross-sectoral collaboration, and generate momentum in advancing social prescribing for health and well-being. It will build collective capacity for social prescribing implementation and scaling, propel local action and spur system change to shift the future of health and social care.
Call for Submissions
Interested individuals to submit session ideas and poster submissions that are aligned with the overall conference goals and include the following movement-building streams that advance theory, knowledge, research, practice and policy in social prescribing:
Systems & Culture Change
For example:
Shifting social policy, expanding the idea of medicine, innovating new approaches to funding, challenging siloed systems
Integrated Care & Community Collaboration
For example:
Grassroots movements and community-centred approaches, building collaboration across health and community care, whole-community approaches to social prescribing, student and academic partnerships
Implementation Practice
For example:
Implementation in urban and rural contexts, population specific initiatives, co-production/design, the role of digital technology, applying a critical lens to social prescribing practices
Evaluation, Evidence & Impact
For example:
Presentation of evidence related to implementation outcomes, intervention effectiveness, framework development, research approaches, novel methods
Heath Equity
For example:
Ethics of Social Prescribing, socio-economic and socio-cultural perspectives, leadership of equity-deserving populations and persons with lived experience, intervention strategies to increase equity in access and outcomes
