Seniors' Health and Wellness Institute, COSCO Presents Free Sessions in Cantonese March 2022
A trained facilitator, and fluent in Cantonese, Ms. Ng is available to present the following sessions in Cantonese. Since registration is limited, it is recommended you register early. Details of the sessions are provided below.
TOPIC 1: MENTAL HEALTH AND SENIORS
DATE/ TME: Monday, March 7, 2022, at 10:30 a.m.
This workshop provides an overview of mental disorders and ways individuals can contribute to their own mental health.
TOPIC 2: EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS
DATE/TIME: Monday, March 14, 2022, at 10:30 a.m.
When disaster strikes people need to be ready. We explore the preparation of emergency kits, safety procedures in dangerous situations and provide information about when and how to seek help.
TOPIC 3: FRAUDS AND SCAMS
DATE/TIME: Monday, March 21, 2022, 10:30 a.m.
We investigate the ways in which fraudsters take in people in order to rob them of their money and possessions. Seniors are frequent victims and need to be aware of how to protect themselves.
TOPIC 4: AGE WELL, LIVE WELL WITH SAFE MEDICATION USE
TIME/DATE: Monday, March 28, 2022, 10:30 a.m. As we age, our bodies change, and the dosages of some medications may actually be too strong now or may be less effective than in the past. This workshop will help you understand why that might be, and what actions you and your health care provider might consider so that your current medications meet the needs of your body.
