[Webinar] Extreme Cold Weather Response - Preparedness Workshop

Cold Weather Preparedness Workshop: This hour-long workshop will provide valuable information on how to stay safe and healthy during cold winter weather conditions. We will cover symptoms, treatment and prevention of cold related health risks - with a strong emphasis on prevention! The focus will specifically be on prevention of hypothermia and winter falls. This Cold Weather Preparedness Workshop is geared towards older adults, as well as caregivers and service providers working with older adults. We’ll make ample space for knowledge sharing and learning from each other about effective strategies for cold weather preparedness – come ready to contribute your thoughts and winter wellness wisdom!


Presenter Bio: Lisa Perrett is a Registered Nurse and Public Health Coordinator at REACH Community Health Centre, located on Squamish, Musqueam and Tsleil-Waututh lands in East Vancouver. She draws upon her clinical experience working the Emergency Department at St Paul’s Hospital to inform her public health education workshops. She is currently working towards a certificate in Community Capacity Building at Simon Fraser University. When she’s not dreaming about public health you can find her trail running, watercolor painting and throwing themed parties for her friends
