South Vancouver Seniors Hub

The South Vancouver Seniors Hub is a community-based network led by seniors aged 55 or older, aimed at promoting healthy aging, increasing options for seniors programming, creating a sense of belonging and inclusion, and fostering independence, self-esteem, dignity, and empowerment. The Hub operates on values of respect, community focus, and openness, leveraging resources effectively and advocating for seniors and their families.

The mission of the South Vancouver Seniors Hub Council is “to work together to network and provide accessible, inclusive, timely and high quality programs and services for the diverse population of seniors living in South East Vancouver”. Unfortunately, racism is present in our society, creating fear and exclusion and preventing affected seniors from engaging and actively participating in community life.

Guided by the values of Diversity, Inclusion, Equality, Equity and Justice, we commit to collaboratively work to challenge racism – particularly towards seniors – as it exists on individual and systemic levels in our community

The South Vancouver Seniors Hub offers a variety of community events that promote Diversity, Inclusion and Connectedness, such as "Intercultural Wellness Group" which is a group focused on health and wellness for seniors, including multicultural activities, games, exercises, sing-along and discussions in English.
