[BC-Wide] Partnership Recognition and Exploration (PRE) Fund (deadline: Dec 31, 2026)

Get up to $1,500 for community-university collaboration and relationship building. 

Every day, UBC faculty, staff, students, and community partners work together on joint initiatives that benefit both the community and UBC.  Whether it’s engaged research, experiential learning, planning and policy development, educational programming, dialogue projects, workshops, and beyond — our impact grows when we work together.   

The Community Engagement Partnership Recognition and Exploration (PRE) Fund fills small resource gaps so community partners can build reciprocal relationships with UBC students, faculty, and staff. Strong PRE-funded applications typically demonstrate several of the following:

• Respond to an identified community need 
• Advance reciprocal, mutually beneficial engagement
• Fill a small resource gap that enables collaboration
• Advance research, scholarship, and/or teaching with a focus on societal impact
• Improve community access to UBC research, teaching, or learning resources 
• Support a sustainable, just society

PRE Fund applications will be open until December 31, 2026, or until available funds are exhausted.
