Build from the Heart (Due June 14th, 4 p.m. EDT)

Build from the Heart Application Form

From May 1st to 31st, Canadian charities that support victims of domestic violence and their children, low-income families and people with disabilities or mental health issues are invited to submit a major renovation or construction project. A total of 1 M $ will be divided between seven projects that will help revitalize living environments or make access to housing easier.

Organization' Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be based in a province where one of our corporate or affiliated stores is located.
  • Must not promote racist, religious, political, hateful or elitist ideologies.
  • Must demonstrate direct assistance to people and their communities, not to other charities.
  • Must submit a major project aimed at improving the quality of life of the populations in need listed above by revitalizing their living environments of facilitating access to housing.
  • Must demonstrate that the funds received will be used for a concrete project to be completed by December 31 of the year following the donation.
  • Funds granted under the Build from the Heart program are to be used for the purchase of building materials or products, or for the hiring of construction professionals.

For information purposes, here are the amounts donated to the winning organizations in 2023. Amounts differs from one province to another depending on the presence of our stores in the territory.

  • Alberta ($50,000)
  • British Columbia ($75,000)
  • Manitoba ($35,000)
  • Ontario ($125,000)
  • Québec ($150,000)
  • Saskatchewan ($65,000)

Charities that meet the criteria listed above are invited to submit their project by filling out this form before June 14th, 4 p.m. EDT. The projects selected will be announced during the Summer of 2024 on the Foundation page of the ronainc.ca website.
