[Canada-Wide] Canada Summer Jobs funding

funding opportunity image

Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) is a program under the Youth Employment and Skills Strategy (YESS). It helps youth aged 15 to 30 gain paid summer work experience and develop skills for the job market.

Canada Summer Jobs helps strengthen your organization and empower the next generation. If approved, your organization can gain valuable wage subsidies that make it easier to hire motivated youth. You'll have the opportunity to enhance your team with fresh talent, reduce staffing costs, and create meaningful opportunities that help young people build skills and careers. It's a smart investment that grows your organization while supporting your community.

Application Period: From October 27, 2026 to December 3, 2026, at 11:59 pm (Pacific Time)

Funding Amount: Not-for-profit employers can receive funding for up to 100% of the provincial or territorial minimum wage and public and private sector employers are eligible to receive funding for up to 50%

Youth Employment Period: CSJ-funded jobs must take place between April 19, 2027, and August 28, 2027
