[Canada-Wide] Gay Lea Foundation - Community Impact Grants (Deadline: July 19, 2026)

At Gay Lea Foods, we believe in building strong, resilient communities where our members and employees live and work. Our Community Well-Being and Sustainable Agriculture Grants are designed to create lasting, positive change by addressing the core needs of thriving communities and advancing sustainable development in agriculture.

Community Well-Being Grants

These grants support initiatives that strengthen the fabric of our communities by funding projects that:

  • Advance education: Improve access to quality education, promote lifelong learning, and provide skills development for all ages.
  • Strengthen health and wellness: Enhance physical, mental, and emotional well-being with a focus on community-based support.
  • Address poverty relief: Provide resources, tools, and services to help individuals and families overcome economic challenges and build stability.
  • Deliver impactful social programming: Foster community connection through cultural, recreational, and civic initiatives that promote meaningful community engagement.

Minimum Grant $10,000 | Maximum Grant $50,000

Sustainable Agriculture Grants

These grants prioritize initiatives that foster collaboration and drive sustainable development and growth in agriculture. Funding is available for projects that:

  • Enhance agricultural development and innovation: Support advancements in farming practices, technologies, and approaches that improve productivity and sustainability.
  • Promote environmental sustainability and stewardship: Encourage initiatives that protect ecosystems, reduce environmental impact, and preserve resources for future generations.
  • Strengthen co-operative organizations locally and globally: Empower co-operatives to build capacity, create opportunities, and foster collaboration.

Minimum Grant $10,000 | Maximum Grant $25,000


Important information:

  • Applications will close at 5:00pm EST on Friday, July 19, 2026.
  • All applications will receive a response regarding the status of their application by early-October 2026.
  • All projects funded by the Gay Lea Foundation are required to complete an impact report. This report will help us understand the progress made, outcomes achieved, and how the funding has supported your organization’s goals in alignment with our mission of Nourishing Communities.
