Capital Project Grants
Capital Project Grants provide $5 million annually to not-for-profit organizations throughout B.C., to support the completion of inclusive, accessible capital projects that meet community-identified needs and priorities. This page includes information about these grants, including eligibility criteria, grant amounts, how and when to apply and more.
2023 Program Update
The intake for applications opens June 5 and closes August 3, 2023.
The award notification date for capital projects has been adjusted to December 31.
The repatriation of Indigenous cultural belongings and ancestral remains has been added as an additional category of eligible capital projects. Eligible applicants are not-for-profit organizations that are looking to send or receive Indigenous cultural belongings and/or ancestral remains. Funding provided will support transportation, travel and ceremonial costs in projects that are ready to implement.
As COVID-19 health restrictions have been lifted in the province, all reference to COVID-19 has been removed from the program guidelines. Other minor updates have been made to improve the overall readability and clarity of the Capital Project Grant Guidelines.
For information about the other types of grant funding offered through the Community Gaming Grant program, please review the Community Gaming Grants and PAC & DPAC Grants pages.
