Connect to Care

The Social Planning and Research Council of B.C. and Fraser Health are excited to improve virtual health equity with a new grant program.

Mobile devices like smartphones and tablets are putting access to health care directly in our hands, however, for many people, this technology is unavailable. Through the new Connect to Care grant program, we are offering smartphones to increase access to health and social services for historically marginalized communities.

With the Connect to Care grants, we aim to fund applicants’ pilot projects to distribute smartphones to clients who need to access health and social services with mobile devices. We will give successful applicants 200 smartphones to distribute to clients, as well as up to $25,000 to cover project management costs. The deadline to apply is February 28, 2022.

Who can apply?

Any Fraser Health department or community agency/organization that provides services within the Fraser Health region can apply.

We will give preference to applicants working with First Nations, Métis and Inuit communities, organizations or governments.
