Innovation Funds for Cardiac Research

Ted Rogers Center is providing Innovation Funds of up to $500,000 to support research projects that have been submitted to other competitions that focus on cardiovascular complications of COVID-19. Funds may be used to match or augment funds already received from other organizations (i.e., CIHR, Ontario Together fund), or fund high-ranking, high-quality projects that could not be funded by the other competitions.
As the Centre and its partners are from Ontario, as long as there is (1) an applicant or co-applicant from any Toronto academic health science centre / department and (2) a collaborator at any of the 3 partner organizations (SickKids, UHN, UofT campus), then the project would be eligible.
The deadline to apply is May 1, 2020 at 4 pm (ET) (1pm PST). The application form is attached.
