Desert Sun provides not only flip phones but also preparedness kits and transportation to evacuation centers. They also offer emotional support and access to meals during emergencies.

This initiative has been praised for its effectiveness, with seniors appreciating the daily check-ins and support.

Desert Sun received a $25K Emergency Preparedness and Response grant from Healthy Aging for the period of December 1, 2022 - August 31, 2023
