COVID-19 Rapid Testing Program for Community Organizations

Help keep your organization and your community safer through the Stop the Spread and Stay Safe! program: 

The Canadian Red Cross, working in partnership with Health Canada and provincial and territorial authorities, is offering two streams under the Stop the Spread and Stay Safe program to help keep community organizations, their personnel, and the people they serve safe.

  1. Stop the Spread and Stay Safe at Work: on-site screening and masks for community organizations’ personnel and the people they serve.
  2. Stop the Spread and Stay Safe at Home: take-home rapid antigen tests and masks for community organizations’ personnel and the people they serve.

1. Stop the Spread and Stay Safe at Work:
The goal of this stream is to add an additional layer of protection against COVID-19 in workplaces and is intended to be used alongside other public health measures such as symptom screening and mask wearing. 

Non-profits and charities with frontline personnel in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New BrunswickNova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, or Saskatchewan may be eligible to receive free COVID-19 rapid antigen tests, masks and support to implement a screening program for your personnel and the people you serve. 

If you are a charity or a non-profit organization with personnel (staff and volunteers) who work in close proximity to one another or have direct contact with community members and want to participate, please click below to apply.

Eligible organizations:

  • Must be a charity or a non-profit organization with personnel in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, or Saskatchewan
  • Must have staff/volunteers working in close proximity to one another in a physical location AND/OR to clients in-person
  • Must be willing to operate a screening program which asks that personnel take rapid tests twice weekly
  • Must report the results of the tests (anonymized) to the Canadian Red Cross every two weeks
