VCH and Fraser Health's Healthy Environments & Climate Change teams have partnered to offer two webinars for community partners who would like to learn about the health effects of heat and wildfire smoke in our regions, innovative practices and programs, and what resources and information are available to help prepare for the upcoming season:
For organizations serving urban communities: Thursday, May 9 from 9:30-11:30am
For organizations serving rural/remote communities: Thursday, May 9 from 12:30-2:30pm.
Each session will include presentations by health authority staff, with additional presenters from local and provincial organizations sharing their learnings and promising practices. There will be an opportunity for questions with the Medical Health Officer and Health Emergency Management BC.
