[Research Study] COVID medications to help adults feel better faster

Research on effective and affordable COVID Medications

A national study to evaluate the effectiveness of current and future Covid-19 medications is now recruiting participants

The CanTreatCOVID study aims to identify effective, affordable medications for COVID that would help people feel better faster, reduce emergency room visits and hospital stays. The long-term goal of the study is to find medications that prevent long COVID.

The study is open to adults who have tested positive for COVID with symptoms starting within the 5 days and are aged 18-49 with one or more chronic conditions or aged 50+. Participation in the study is online. Participants receive the study drug or usual care. Participants are asked to complete a daily dairy for 14 days, and answer follow-up surveys. The study will provide up to $120 compensation for participants!

Supported by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, Health Canada and Public Health Agency of Canada, CanTreatCOVID is a publicly funded, non-profit study taking place in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Newfoundland and Labrador, Ontario and Quebec.
