[Study] Research Participants Needed - Climate Resilience Groups (CRGs) for older adults
Our research team at Simon Fraser University/The Mental Health and Climate Change Alliance are conducting a study to understand and enhance Climate Resilience Groups (CRGs) for older adults facing climate-related challenges. We aim to learn from community members and partners about how CRGs can support the mental health and well-being of older adults who are experiencing climate change distress. Older adults often feel the impacts of climate change acutely, yet few dedicated programs are addressing their unique concerns. Participant feedback will help shape a program model that can be replicated in communities across the country.
We are reaching out to invite interested community members to participate in three online workshop sessions designed to gather insights and co-develop practical solutions. All workshops will be conducted via Zoom, and participants will receive an honorarium of $50 per workshop to acknowledge their time and insights. The first two workshops are scheduled to take place in November/December 2025, with exact dates to be announced once participants are selected.
