Vantage Point Survey: BC Non-Profit Network

news image

Vantage Point is exploring the feasibility of a “BC Non-Profit Network.” The primary objective of this project is to understand if there is willingness and support from non-profits across BC for the development of a formal non-profit network. If yes, we would like to understand what sort of network activities would have the greatest impact on the sector.

This feasibility study consists of the following:

  • A series of 18 community conversations online and in-person across BC
  • A sector-wide survey

The results of the survey and feedback from the community conversations will inform a report that will be shared with both funders and the sector on the feasibility of a non-profit network in BC.

Please take 5-10 minutes to complete this survey before February 24, 2023.

The survey questions can be previewed here

If you have any questions about the survey, or the project overall, please contact Jenessa Ellis at jellis@thevantagepoint.ca or at (604)-630-5821.

Background:

With over 29,000[1] non-profit societies registered in BC, the sector employs more than 86,000 people across the province and operates in every industry – from health and social services, to recreation, to arts and culture[2]. Through our convening work, Vantage Point has heard from different groups of stakeholders about how working as a broad network might strengthen the sector. Our Peer Networks, ad hoc projects to develop recommendations for the BC Budget, and collection of data about the state of the sector has brought together select voices from across the sector. What else could be achieved if there was formal network of non-profits was in place?
