Grandparents Film Festival
The Grandparents Film Festival started in 2018 by Shiraz Ramji at the Edmonds Seniors Society in Burnaby. This is monthly gathering to show films that highlight seniors as the protagonist. A brief description of the creator and the idea can be found here. For updated scheduling, contact the Edmonds Community Centre.Â
Ramji has also created "For Home Viewing" list of films (see attached). According to Ramji, these films promote "grandparent-grandchildren friendship and make stories of grandparents more visible". Organizations can use this list for ideas of films to show at their own centres or share it with seniors and their families. Â
