[Guide] Social Isolation: A Community Conversation Guide

Many communities pride themselves on the generosity and caring nature of their citizens. Neighbours supporting neighbours. But what happens when an older adult is less connected and unable to access community supports and resources?

From adult recreation centres, faith communities, senior associations, emergency services, to hairdressers, bank tellers and grocery store clerks, we all have a role to play in supporting our community and making a difference in someone’s life.

The Supporting Your Neighbours: A Community Conversation Guide is for anyone who interacts with or knows an older adult who may be experiencing social isolation. The guide provides information about social isolation and its impacts, what to look out for, how to start a conversation with someone who may be experiencing social isolation, and more.
