Healthy Aging CORE: Mobilizing knowledge and supporting connections for BC's CBSS Sector

resource image

On Sept 16, 2020, this webinar was hosted by the Healthy Aging CORE team to provide an overview of CORE, a walk through of the website and its main features, and discuss ways to meaningfully participate in groups and discussions.

Healthy Aging CORE (Collaborative Online Resources & Education) BC is the knowledge hub for Community Based Seniors' Services (CBSS) staff, volunteers, and allied agencies and individuals in British Columbia. CORE is a place to connect, coordinate, and collaborate with others through groups and discussions, and to share information relevant to the CBSS sector, including resources, training and events, funding opportunities, and model community programs.

This webinar was presented by Barbara McMillan, Provincial Community Engagement Coordinator, Population Health, United Way of the Lower Mainland (UWLM) and Michael MacNeil, Project Assistant at UWLM. Both presenters manage the Healthy Aging CORE BC website, and are leading development of CORE Canada, expected to launch early in 2021.

A test Discussion thread was made for webinar participants to practice posting and commenting in a discussion on CORE: here.
