resource image

On July 28th, 2021, the presenters reviewed the unique design of the Choose to Move and its reach and impact, to-date. They shared ways you can build capacity in your community and organization through Choose to Move. Choose to Move is one of the most successful health promotion programs for older adults. Based on the best evidence, Choose to Move enables older adults to connect socially, keep physically active, and access opportunities in their community. UBC’s Active Aging Research Team designed Choose to Move and continues to evaluate its impact and implementation. Since 2016 and with funding support from the BC Ministry of Health, the Active Aging Society has fostered relationships with organizations across BC to make Choose to Move available to diverse older adults.
