[Report] From Awareness to Impact: Shaping “What Matters To You?” in BC A Learning & Action Event
More than 100 people across BC celebrated International “What Matters to You?” Day on June 2 by joining us to explore how this simple but powerful question can be better used in clinical practice.
At Health Quality BC’s event, From Awareness to Impact: Shaping “What Matters To You?” in BC, participants shared stories, reflected on how “What Matters to You” (WMTY) shows up in practice, and considered how we can build the WMTY approach into everyday interactions between patients, their families and care providers.
Our new summary report captures key insights from the day, including the enabling conditions that support meaningful WMTY conversations, the barriers that make them challenging, and the actions that would help move WMTY from awareness to sustained, system-wide impact.
We’re using these insights to guide our next steps in supporting the integration of WMTY across the BC health system. We encourage you to join us in this commitment to action – this is your opportunity to take the learnings from the event and apply them to your own practice.
Read the report today to discover how you can help change care experiences, one WMTY question at a time!
