About the UN Decade of Healthy Ageing Progress Report, 2021-2023
The UN Decade of Healthy Ageing is an opportunity to work together to improve the lives of older people, their families, and their communities. The UN Decade sets an ambitious vision of a world in which all people can live long and healthy lives. Stakeholders around the world have been working hard to achieve this vision with many programmes and activities already taking place in contribution to the Decade.
To recognize and build on this work, the UN has published a comprehensive public facing progress report on the implementation of the UN Decade. This progress report, covering the first three years of the UN Decade, was collaboratively developed by UN agencies with inputs from the broad range of stakeholders involved in making the UN Decade a success.
The report aims to highlight the experiences of stakeholders during the first three years of the UN Decade’s implementation, sharing the knowledge and resources being developed to support healthy ageing. The report also highlights examples of actions being taken by all stakeholders to implement the UN Decade and achieve change with and for older people.
