This research looks at the contributions that healthy seniors make to Canada’s economy, and how investing in their health beyond the age of 65 can reap significant social and economic benefits.
How will reducing the mortality of seniors from the most common type of heart valve disease—aortic stenosis—benefit society? How much will having healthier seniors live longer lives add to the economy each year until 2040? What is the monetary and social value of seniors’ participation in our communities through activities such as volunteering and caregiving?
