Toolkit: Community Food Assessment
The purpose of this CFAI (Community Food Action Initiative) Community Food Assessment Guide is to provide a planning tool to assist Health Authorities and community organizations in BC wishing to undertake a community food assessment in their region or community. Community food assessment can give community organizations a greater awareness of food-related issues in their community and improve program development and coordination.
This guide provides a step-by-step approach to a community nutrition assessment and includes local resources for doing so. It provides example outputs, outcomes, and indicators for successful community food security programs.Β
