Workplace Volunteers are here to help you with your Programs!

United Way BC is connected to workplaces who would like to support our non-profit partners by providing committed and reliable volunteers to help with community needs.

What do we do for you:

•        We help to develop the roles and volunteer position descriptions for your regular programs or special events.

•        We recruit suitable groups of volunteers to meet the needs identified.

•        We support you with scheduling and arranging groups of volunteers.

•        We provide a list of confirmed volunteers two weeks before their scheduled shifts.

Group sizes are based on your identified needs. Opportunities that can host groups of more than 5 are preferred.

Workplace groups are scheduled to volunteer during the working week and working hours (8:30-4:30), but some variations of timeframes are possible.

For larger groups of more than 10 volunteers we are able to suggest a donation to your organization to accommodate a custom opportunity. For example, A harvest event that hosts 20 volunteers will require a workplace donation of $500. We will work with you to help identify the appropriate donation.

If you have any questions or would like to connect to learn more about workplace volunteering, please contact Olena Skorokhod (olenas@uwbc.ca).
