Looking to reduce your risk of dementia — or support someone in your life who may be at risk of or experiencing cognitive decline?
Join us on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. (local time) for Defy Dementia on the Road — an engaging in-person and live-streamed event co-hosted by Jay Ingram and Dr. Allison Sekuler, President and Chief Scientist, Baycrest Academy for Research & Education and the Centre for Aging + Brain Health Innovation.
Hear from leading dementia experts Dr. Mariko Sakamoto, Dr. Stuart McDonald and Dr. Alex Henri-Bhargava alongside individuals with lived experience in a dynamic panel discussion, followed by a live Q&A where you can ask your questions directly.
After the 90-minute program, the virtual event concludes and in-person attendees are welcome to stay and explore interactive demo booths featuring practical resources and the latest research and innovations in aging and brain health.
This event is brought together in partnership with the University of Victoria Institute on Aging and Lifelong Health, Island Health and the Alzheimer Society of BC & Yukon.
Co-sponsored by Baycrest Academy for Research & Education, Centre for Aging + Brain Health Innovation and The Slaight Family Foundation.
