GGC's 25th Annual Gerontology Careers Night

Join us for the 25th Annual Gerontology Careers Night! The goal of this event is to inform students of the various career paths in gerontology and for students, faculty, speakers, and other invited professionals to exchange ideas and discuss professional and academic prospects.

The event will feature a panel discussion with learders in the Vancouver gerontology field, highlighting the various careers available to our MA and PhD graduates. A networking reception will follow. We can't wait to see you there!


This years panelists are:

Dr. Indira Riadi (United Way), Alison Keller (Amica Senior Lifestyles), Dr. Janice Sorensen (Fraser Health Authority) and Dr. Heather Cooke (Alzheimer Society of B.C.).


Careers Night is an integral event for students currently studying or interested in the Gerontology programs at SFU (Masters, PhD, PBD, and minor. It promotes the professional and academic development of our students and the wider gerontology community: attendees are able to network, advance academic endeavors, and establish rapport with potential supervisors, employers, and mentors from a variety of backgrounds in aging.
