[Event] Seniors' Heat Resilience Community Forum
As extreme heat events become more frequent across Metro Vancouver, they present growing challenges for the health, comfort, and well-being of seniors. The Seniors' Heat Resilience Connect & Learn Event brings together seniors, community members, practitioners, researchers, and community organizations to explore practical approaches to staying safe, connected, and resilient during periods of extreme heat.
Through interactive activities, demonstrations, storytelling, and small-group discussions, participants will have the opportunity to learn from community partners, share experiences, and discover resources and strategies that support healthy aging and heat preparedness.
The morning will also feature a community theatre show developed in collaboration with community partners, exploring themes of aging, heat, and resilience through storytelling and performance.
