[Submission Call] Growing Older, Living Deeply Poetry Project

Established in 2021, The Age Collective (TAC) is a community-driven initiative working to reimagine how we think, talk about, and experience aging. Through storytelling, art, and conversation, we bring people of all ages together to challenge ageism and celebrate the depth, complexity, and the significance of growing older.

TAC is running a new project called the Growing Older, Living Deeply (GOLD) Poetry Project, which invites older adults (55 yrs+) across Canada to share original poems about the aging experience. The GOLD Poetry Project is a non-commercial, community-driven project launched in May 2025. It aims to amplify the voices and creative expressions of older adults through poetry. We release themed calls for submissions every few months (e.g., love & loss, place & belonging), and select 10 poems per theme to feature on our website and social media. Our current theme is Self & Identity (more details in the poster image below).
