[Workshop] Combatting Ageism Together

Join us for the final workshop in the Combatting Ageism Together series, the last event of a transformative series. The event will take place on Zoom on April 25th, 2024, from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM. The link to the event will be provided upon registration.

The Combatting Ageism Together series is a pilot initiative by The National Pensioners Federation that has been bringing people of all ages from across Ontario together for engaging workshops, surveys and story collection to challenge age-related biases and foster intergenerational connections.

During this final workshop, you will engage in thought-provoking discussions and activities, share your experiences and insights, participate in interactive activities that aim to bridge generational divides and promote mutual respect and understanding, and explore actionable steps to combat Ageism and create a more inclusive world for all.

Our workshops welcome participants of all ages and backgrounds, fostering a welcoming space for open dialogue and shared experiences. All stories collected will be submitted to the United Nations for a convention on Ageism, contributing to a global conversation on combatting discrimination based on age.

We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the community-based stream of the Government of Canada's New Horizons for Seniors Program (NHSP) for their support in making combating Ageism Together possible. Together, we empower seniors and build a more inclusive society for future generations.
